Nomination to Building of the Year or “ÅRETS BYGGE” by Byggindustrin

A very special project to Modulehouse, the student apartment house UngBo 12 in Malmö, has been nominated for one of the most prestigious awards in construction in Scandinavia. UngBo 12 has been nominated along with other 19 outstanding projects in Sweden that have been chosen by Byggindustrin’s project committee on the basis of achievements in solutions, quality, project co-operation and economy. The winner will be announced during gala event in March 2018. You can find more information about “Årets Bygge” award at:

Byggvesta’s purchasing and procurement manager Mats Suominen and Modulehouse sales director Jevgeni Robakov met with Byggindustrin’s reporter at UngBo 12 to talk about the idea and architectural solution of the building as well as about process of engineering and construction. Complete interview with a video can be seen here:

Despite any future results of this competition Modulehouse, Byggvesta, Malmö city as well as people occupying the apartments are very pleased with results. Nomination only emphasizes the fact that open-minded architectural approach together with industrial modular construction can create esthetical and environmentally friendly yet highly cost-efficient buildings.
